2/11/10 Low Key Value vs High Key Value




This image of the flower is an example of high key value because the colors used to create the image are lighter colors. The image of the tiger is an example of low key value because of the dark colors used to create the image.

This picture is unbalanced in that the mountains and rocks are only on one side of the picture but this creates a smooth well designed photograph. If the mountains were on the right side of the photograph as well the picture would look too crowded. The value in this photo is very good in that it shows it features with the shading.

I think this work is interesting because of the way it circles around the landscape in the background. Also the art work looks as it is made of straight stick material but the sticks are bent to form a circle. The colors of the work blend with the colors of the ground but stand out from the background colors.
